| Rockland County has the distinction
of being the only county in the United States to initiate
an integrated county-wide model for school-based or
school-linked child care and family support -- Rockland
County Schools of the 21st Century. Of particular significance
are the new linkages established among the public schools,
early learning programs, government, business leaders,
municipal agencies, and community groups. A key partner
is Yale University’s Bush Center in Child Development
and Social Policy.
