The purpose of the Rockland County School Boards Association (RCSBA) is to improve the services rendered by the school districts of Rockland County through the cooperative effort of the members of Rockland's constituent school boards. discussion of common problems, research activities resulting in advisory recommendations, coordination of legislative activities with NYSSBA, coordination of training seminars for school trustees, and fostering a greater civic and school consciousness among the citizens of the school districts of Rockland County. This Association subscribes to the aims and objectives of the NYS School Boards Association and may send delegates to the organization's meetings and conferences when requested.

• 26 of the 72 are women and 46 are men.
• 7 of the 10 districts have women serving as president.
• 3 of the 10 districts have men serving as president. (Clarkstown, Nyack and Pearl River)
• 3 of the 10 districts have women serving as VP. (Clarkstown, Nanuet and Ramapo)

• There are 2 districts that have a 5 member board. (South Orangetown and Pearl River)
